Deutsche Börse: fined in insider trading case

(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Börse said that it has been fined 10.
5 million euros for insider trading after an investigation against its former CEO Carsten Kengeter.

The German stock exchange operator has been fined by the District Court of Frankfurt 5 million euros and 5.5 million euros respectively for a breach of an insider trading ban in December 2015 and for an alleged omission of regulatory filing in January 2016.

While the company remains "firmly convinced that the allegations were unfounded," it has decided not to appeal against the fine.
