Fraport: to use predictive technology at Frankfurt airport
(CercleFinance.com) - Fraport will start using a real-time predictive runway arrival times technology to optimise operations at its home base of Frankfurt airport.
The deal with US-based FlightAware will give Fraport access to precise, predicted runway arrival times, aircraft positions and flight status, the companies said in a statement on Wednesday.
Fraport plans to integrate the data into its operational tools and analytical platforms to optimise airfield efficiency and ground personnel allocation at the airport.
FlightAware's models are based on statistical analysis of flight tracks and timestamps of hundreds of thousands of flights.
