(CercleFinance.com) - Fraport said on Wednesday that passenger numbers at Frankfurt airport increased by 5.
3% last month year-on-year, to some 5.8 million travellers, its busiest June ever.
The German airport operator said passenger traffic rose at its Frankfurt hub for the eighth consecutive month, helped by the early start to the summer school holidays in some parts of Germany.
Over the first half of the year, Frankfurt airport welcomed almost 30 million passengers, up 4.5% compared to the same period in 2016.
This marks a new historic record for the airport, Fraport said.
