Deutsche Telekom: raises profit outlook again

(CercleFinance.com) - German telecom operator Deutsche Telekom has, for the third time this year, raised its earnings outlook on Thursday after posting "strong" third quarter results.

Net revenue increased by 4.7% year-on-year to 19.1 billion euros in the past quarter, pushing adjusted EBITDA up 8.5% to 6.2 billion euros, the group said.

The telecoms company cited strong customer growth in the third quarter.

As of the end of September, the number of fiber-optic customers had risen by 30% year-on-year to 11.6 million, it said. Moreover, 67,000 new customers opted for broadband products in the quarter.

After these results, full-year adjusted EBITDA is expected to be around 23.6 billion euros and full-year free cash flow around 6.3 billion euros, DT said.

Its shares were flat after these numbers.
