BMW: targets growth in US production

For the fifth year in a row, BMW Manufacturing is in pole position in the US in terms of the value of auto exports.
BMW exported 234,689 X models from its Spartanburg, SC, plant in 2018. About 81% of these Sport Activity Vehicles (SAVs) were exported from Charleston Port, with an export value of over 8.4 billion dollars, according to data from the Ministry of Trade.
This confirms that the South Carolina plant is the largest US auto exporter by value.
The total value of exports from the BMW South Carolina plant amounted to over 8.4 billion dollars in 2018. The plant produced 4.5 million BMWs in South Carolina.
