BMW Group: June car sales break new records.
(CercleFinance.com) - BMW said on Wednesday that it enjoyed its highest ever first half-year, on the back of June sales that broke all previous records, thanks, amongst other things, to the success of electrified vehicles.
Group sales increased by 2.1% last month to 232,620 vehicles, bringing the cumulative amount so far this year to 1,220,819 vehicles, up 5% from last year.
BMW sales chief Ian Robertson, said sales of the BMW Group's nine electrified vehicles rose by 80% compared with the first half of last year.
The carmaker plans to deliver its 200,000th electrified BMW Group vehicle later this year.
