Julius Baer: promotes chief risk officer to CEO.

(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss private bank Julius Baer has appointed Bernhard Hodler, who had been deputy-CEO since September 2017, as CEO on Monday, replacing Boris Collardi who is leaving for rival Pictet.


The board of directors has appointed Bernhard Hodler, who is currently Julius Baer's chief risk officer, with immediate effect.

Boris Collardi - who has been CEO since 2009 - will join Pictet to jointly lead its global wealth management unit as from mid-2018.

In its statement, Julius Baer points out that it also plans to begin an evaluation process for the group's "long-term leadership."
