Nestlé: Nespresso invests in Avenches, what else?
(CercleFinance.com) - Nespresso is investing 117 million Swiss francs to expand its production centre in Avenches, Switzerland, in order to meet growing consumer demand for its coffees, in addition to supporting its international development.
The investment supports increased production capacity, including three new production lines. The Avenches site serves as Nespresso's global distribution centre, shipping capsules to over 80 countries worldwide.
The expansion is set to begin in July 2021 and is expected to be complete by September 2022. Fifty new jobs are expected to be created by the end of 2022. As for the three new production lines, they should be operational by March 2022, Nespresso says.
