Dufry: simplifies organisation to accelerate recovery
(CercleFinance.com) - Badly-hit Swiss travel retailer Dufry said it is simplifying its top management functions, aiming to accelerate its recovery.
Its new executive committee - which will now consist of eight members compared to 10 previously - will help cut costs by directly managing operations from the headquarters, the group said.
The new organisational structure, set to become effective as from 1 September, will result in a reduced number of seven clusters, plus North America, compared to 23 clusters to date.
With this decision Dufry aims to further strengthen its airport travel retail business, while boosting the company's profitability and preparing for an acceleration in growth, it said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
