ABB: projects in Abu Dhabi and the US
(CercleFinance.com) - ABB has announced that its technology will power the world's largest reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi (UAE), a project that will supply both local communities and industries in the region.
The plant will play a key role in meeting the region's peak water demand, which is expected to increase by 11% between 2017 and 2024, ABB says.
At the same time, the company says it has won a contract to upgrade the water infrastructure of the city of Nashville (Tennessee, US).
McLean Technology Group (MTG) has called on ABB to provide automation, electrification and instrumentation solutions at its Nashville wastewater treatment plant, operated by Metro Water Services (MWS), with the city's population expected to grow by 50% by 2045.
