ABB: buys Irish building automation expert Cylon
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss engineering group ABB has bought Irish building management system company Cylon Controls, in a move to strengthen its position on the commercial buildings segment.
The acquisition will enable the Swiss company to focus on new innovations in energy-optimization and comfort, ABB said.
Dublin-headquartered Cylon - which has approximately 100 employees - provides building automation, HVAC control, and energy solutions for commercial and retail buildings, schools and healthcare facilities.
ABB did not disclose the price it paid for the company.
