ABB: wins asset management order from China
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss engineering group ABB said it had won an order to deliver an asset management solution to Jiangsu Electric Power, one of the biggest subsidiaries of the State Grid of China.
Jiangsu Electric Power - which supplies electricity to over 80 million people - has selected ABB's asset performance management solution to manage its electrical grid operations.
The deal covers analysis of real-time data, measuring the performance of transformers and other critical power assets.
China's energy consumption is accelerating exponentially. By 2040, an average Chinese household is expected to consume nearly twice as much electricity as today.
