ABB: buys Germany-based Keymile's networks business.
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss engineering group ABB has bought Keymile's communication networks business to strengthen its focus on digital grid portfolio and software, the company said on Monday.
Germany-based Keymile's business base includes network operators of energy grids, railways, oil and gas pipelines, as well as public authorities.
The 120 employees of the acquired business will join ABB's power grids division.
The acquisition - which includes key products, software and service solutions, as well as research and development expertise - is expected to close during the third quarter of 2017.
Both parties have agreed not to disclose its value.
