LafargeHolcim: acquisition in Romania
(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim announces that it has signed an agreement with ORESA for the acquisition of Somaco, one of Romania's leading precast concrete producers, which will allow the Franco-Swiss construction materials group to expand in this country.
The company in question operates five precast concrete factories as well as one plant for aerated blocks, and has a total of 750 employees. Last year it achieved revenues of 56 million euros.
The transaction, which is subject to the usual authorisations, and the financial terms of which are not specified in LafargeHolcim's press release, is set to be finalised in the final quarter of this year.
