LafargeHolcim: divests assets in Malaysia and Singapore
(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim announces signing an agreement with YTL Cement Berhad to sell its 51% stake in Lafarge Malaysia Berhad for a total of 396 million dollars, payable in cash.
The Franco-Swiss supplier of building materials has also signed an agreement with YTL Cement Singapore PTE Ltd to sell its 91% stake in Holcim Singapore Ltd. Together, these transactions will improve its debt ratio by approximately 0.1x.
As part of its 2022 strategy, the group is committed to divestments to strengthen its balance sheet, said CEO Jan Jenisch regarding these transactions, which are set to be finalised in Q2.
