LafargeHolcim: decline in quarterly underlying EBITDA

(CercleFinance.com) - LafargeHolcim publishes a drop in underlying EBITDA of 13.
4% to 700 million Swiss francs for the first quarter of 2018.

On a like-for-like basis, it is down 7.7%, affected by an exceptionally harsh winter in North America and Europe.

The construction materials group's net turnover remained stable in published data at 5,830 million francs, but grew 3.1% like for like, driven by growth in cement volumes in the first three months of the year.

The 2022 'Building for Growth' strategy was launched in March and LafargeHolcim reaffirms its 2018 targets of 3-5% growth in sales and an over-proportional increase in underlying EBITDA of at least 5% on a like-for-like basis.
