Clariant: completes sale of quats business
(CercleFinance.com) - Clariant announced last night that it has completed the sale of its quats business to Global Amines Company, a joint venture with Singapore's Wilmar.
This division produces quaternary ammonium compounds ('quats') for applications such as chemical preservatives, surfactants and anti-static agents.
The transaction includes several assets located in Germany, Indonesia and Brazil, justified by the group's strategy of concentrating as a specialty chemicals expert.
