Barry Callebaut: signs cooperation deal with Cameroon
(CercleFinance.com) - Swiss chocolate maker Barry Callebaut has signed a letter of intent with the government of Cameroon to strenghthen their cooperation on sustainable cocoa farming.
The "New Generation" project has been established to rejuvenate cocoa farms, introduce young Cameroonians into cocoa farming and lower the average age for cocoa farmers in Cameroon, the group said.
The first results of this deal are expected in early 2020.
