Barry Callebaut: opens new office in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Barry Callebaut said on Friday that it has opened a new office and a new academic center in Beijing to support its clients in China.
The new office and the new center will provide better assistance to the Swiss chocolate maker's local customers, with onsite training and application support, it said.
China has been a key target market for Barry Callebaut for over a decade now.
Although the domestic chocolate industry witnessed a boost in sales volume recently, chocolate consumption in China is just 100 grams per capita, plenty of growth potential, the company said.
