Bombardier: wins maintenance deal in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier has been awarded a contract with China Railway to provide maintenance service for high-speed trains in a deal worth approximately 357 million dollars (321 million euros), the company said on Monday.
The contract has been won through its Chinese joint venture, Bombardier Sifang Transportation (BST), of which the Canadian plane and train maker owns 50%.
BST will provide service for 656 wagons, or 71 trains, for different levels of maintenance. All the maintenance will be completed by the end of 2020, Bombardier said.
