Bombardier: to cut 2,200 jobs by 2020 in German rail.
(CercleFinance.com) - Bombardier said on Thursday that the restructuring charges associated with the organisational changes of it rail unit in Germany were already included in the group's previously disclosed guidance.
The Canadian company warned yesterday that the modernisation and specialisation of its German rail sites would involve some adjustments in personnel.
Based on current assumptions, Bombardier is planning adjustments of up to 2,200 positions, including 700 temporary positions, until 2020.
The implied restructuring charges, to be reported as extraordinary items, have been included in the previously disclosed restructuring charges anticipated for 2017, the company said.
