AB Inbev: towards an IPO in Asia?
(CercleFinance.com) - According to Oddo BHF, which quotes Bloomberg, AB Inbev seems to be planning to float its Asian businesses, saying that this deal is most likely to occur in Hong Kong.
According to the analyst - who reinstates his "buy" rating on the stock, along with a target price of 80 euros - this would enable the brewer to reduce its massive debt, and would probably have a positive impact on the share price in the near term.
However, the broker warns that this deal would deprive it from a strong growth zone and would reinforce the weight of mature markets over the long term, although adds that Asia-Pacific (along with Africa) is an area where the potential for a premiumisation in the market is the greatest.
