GBL: buys back shares worth 14.8 million euros
(CercleFinance.com) - Belgian holding group Groupe Bruxelles Lambert said on Friday it has bought back close to 200,000 shares as part of its share buyback program.
The investment firm repurchased 198,984 shares between 17 December and 21 December for a total of 14.8 million euros, giving an average price of 74.5 euros, it said in a filing.
As of December 21, GBL held directly and through its subsidiaries 2.6 million shares representing 1.6% of its capital.
By 11:30 on Friday, GBL shares gained 1.8 percent to 75.1 euros.
