Agfa-Gevaert: hit by decline in traditional businesses
(CercleFinance.com) - Agfa-Gevaert, a maker of printing and health imaging equipment, reported lower third-quarter earnings on Wednesday, although the group stuck to its financial targets.
The Belgian imaging technology group said its recurrent EBITDA before restructuring and non-recurrent items fell by 34% to 35 million euros over the past quarter.
Meanwhile, revenue fell by 9% to 539 million euros, due to the decline of most of its traditional businesses, the group said.
Agfa-Gevaert said its full year recurrent EBITDA margin will be around 8%.
Moreover, the group stuck to its target recurrent EBITDA margin of around 10% on average "in the years to come".
However, these announcements didn't really entice investors to buy the share, which is currently down 0.4% on Euronext Brussels this Wednesday.
