Gimv: acquires majority stake in Laser 2000
(CercleFinance.com) - Gimv announces an agreement with the owners of Laser 2000 Gmbh for the purchase of 75% of shares in the German photonics solutions distribution specialist.
The financial details of the transaction have not been unveiled.
Based in Wessling (Germany) and employing 65 staff, Laser 2000 has experienced sustained growth over the last few years, in particular stimulated by the photonic market and thanks to the opening of several branches in Europe (France, Spain and Sweden).
It has been agreed that Armin Luft, founder and general director of the company, will keep a minority stake. The transaction is subject to the habitual closing conditions, including the approval of the competition authorities.
