KBC: appoints new Chairman
(CercleFinance.com) - KBC Group has announced that its board of directors has appointed Koenraad Debackere as Chairman of KBC Group, KBC Bank and KBC Assurances, replacing Thomas Leysen, who completed his term of office at the AGM on 7 May.
On 1 November, Koenraad Debackere will transfer his duties as the general administrator of KU Leuven to his successor, Wim Desmet. Since 7 May Philippe Vlerick, as Vice-President, has temporarily been board chairman.
His appointment has been approved by the National Bank of Belgium and the ECB.
