OMV: acquisition of Shell's New Zealand assets complete
(CercleFinance.com) - Royal Dutch Shell said on Friday it had completed the sale of its New Zealand units to Austria's OMV for 578 million dollars as the Anglo-Dutch oil giant is simplifying its upstream portfolio.
The deal includes the Maui, Pohokura, and Tank Farm assets, alongside the sale of Shell's interest in the Great South Basin project, which was subject to a separate agreement, the oil major said.
This means that Shell's employees are now part of OMV New Zealand.
