Whirlpool: acquires InSinkErator

(CercleFinance.com) - Whirlpool today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with Emerson Electric to acquire InSinkErator, a manufacturer of food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers for home and commercial use.


The transaction will be an all-cash deal for 3 billion dollars. On an annual basis, ending 30 September 2022, InSinkErator is expected to generate sales of approximately 650 million dollars and EBITDA of over 170 million dollars.

The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to Whirlpool's margins, increasing its EPS by approximately 1.25 dollar in 2023. Subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory requirements, the acquisition is expected to close in Q4 this year.
