Viacom: Q3 EPS above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - Viacom today reports Q3 adjusted net income from continuing operations that is up 2% at 484 million dollars.
At 1.20 dollar, corresponding EPS beat the consensus by 13 cents.

The Media and entertainment group's revenues increased by 4% to 3.36 billion dollars, with 14% growth at its film division (Paramount Pictures studios), although a stagnation for its media networks division.

"Importantly, we returned Domestic Advertising Revenue to growth, which is a direct result of the strategy we have been executing for the last two years and the significant progress we have made in scaling Advanced Marketing Solutions," said group President and CEO Bob Bakish.
