UnitedHealth: Q4 EPS down
(CercleFinance.com) - UnitedHealth Group has announced Q4 2020 adjusted EPS that is down at 2.
52 dollars, with it saying that "care patterns normalized, while COVID-19 costs rose".
The insurance and health services group saw its business profit fall by nearly a third to 3.5 billion dollars, despite revenue growth of 7.5% to 65.5 billion dollars, driven by its subsidiary Optum (+20.5%).
The group thus posted adjusted EPS of 16.88 for FY 2020, thereby exceeding its forecast provided at the start of December (close to 16.75 dollars), and confirms its expectation of 17.75-18.25 dollars in 2021.
