GE: wins multi-million dollar wind farm project in Scotland
(CercleFinance.com) - GE said it has been awarded a "multi-million dollar project" to supply onshore and offshore wind substations for an offshore wind farm in Scotland.
The US-based industrial group will design, build and provide the substations for the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) wind farm, located 12 miles off the Scottish coast. The offshore wind farm project is jointly owned by France's EDF Renewables and Irish Energy company ESB. The NnG farm is expected to be fully operational in 2023.
