eBay: EPS exceed expectations in 2nd quarter

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening, eBay unveiled an 11% growth in non-GAAP net profits from continuing operations to 589 million dollars, or 68 cents per share, with EPS six cents above analyst consensus.


The group, which specialises in sales over the Internet, has seen its adjusted operating margin improve by 1.7 points to 26.9%, to reach revenues up 2% to close to 2.7 billion dollars (+4% excluding exchange differences).

Based on these results and growing confidence in this year, eBay raises its annual EPS target for the second quarter, now forecasting between 2.70 and 2.75 dollars in adjusted figures.
