Broadcom: raises bid for Qualcomm

(CercleFinance.com) - In a note sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission Broadcom has announced a final bid on Qualcomm's outstanding shares at a unit price of 82 dollars, of which 60 dollars is in cash and the remainder in Broadcom shares.


This proposal, which has been unanimously approved by Broadcom's board of directors, represents a premium of 50% over the closing price on 2 November, the last date before the first speculation appeared in the press about an offer.

As a reminder, the semiconductor group announced on 6 November 2017 an initial offer on the group of wireless technologies at a price of 70 dollars per Qualcomm share, including 60 dollars in cash and 10 dollars in Broadcom shares.
