Beyond Meat: stock jumps on Credit Suisse comments

(CercleFinance.com) - The share of meat substitute producer Beyond Meat is up over 8% on Wall Street in early trading on Wednesday after Credit Suisse analysts raised their target price for the share to 142 dollars.


The broker, which however remains "neutral" towards the share, says it has also raised its sales forecasts for the veggie burger specialist for 2020 and 2021 to above those of the consensus.

Credit Suisse argues that a recent study has shown that the number of people claiming to eat healthy food has risen by 20% since the beginning of the epidemic, as consumers are clearly trying to boost their resistance capacities against Covid-19, meaning that the group could actually be a big winner from the situation.
