Beyond Meat: launches new range for breakfast

(CercleFinance.com) - The US vegetable steak maker Beyond Meat announced on Wednesday that it will strengthen its beef up its product offering by launching a range of meatless sausages for breakfast.


Available in "classic" and "spicy" versions, these steaks based on wholegrain rice and peas are flavored with sage and black pepper and are intended to be an attractive alternative to pork sausages, the Californian group said.

This launch also coincides with the signing of a partnership with Martha Stewart, the pope of good taste in the United States, behind two recipes featuring the new product.

The "Beyond Breakfast Sausage" range is due to land in several American chain stores, including Albertsons and Whole Foods, from the end of March at a price of 4.99 dollars for six steaks.

Down over 5% today, the Beyond Meat share has lost over 15% of its value in five days. It has nevertheless increased by around 20% since the start of the year.
