Apple: starts fiscal year with record figures

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening Apple announced a record Q1 EPS that is up 16% at 3.
89 dollars (to end-December), eight cents above the consensus.

Also reaching an all-time high, sales rose 13% to 88.3 billion dollars. Group CEO Tim Cook said that its installed base of active devices reached 1.3 billion in January.

For the current quarter, Apple - which particularly produces the iPhone and Mac computers - said that it expects a gross margin of 38% to 38.5%, for revenues of between 60 billion and 62 billion dollars.
