American Airlines: repays 2.8 billion dollars in loans

(CercleFinance.com) - American Airlines has announced that it has repaid all of the 2.
8 billion dollars in revolving credit facilities entered into in April 2020 in response to the health crisis.

Three credit facilities were provided to American Airlines, backed by 18 lending institutions.

American Airlines says it can still rely on these credit facilities, most of which are scheduled to expire in October 2024.

Our industry has a long way to go until we are better off, although we have now raised enough additional cash to enable us to pay down this debt, it said.
