Ericsson: picked by Thailand's True for 5G

(CercleFinance.com) - Thailand's integrated telecoms firm True has picked Sweden's Ericsson as the key technology provider for its fifth-generation (5G) telecoms network, the companies said on Monday.


Products and services from Ericsson's radio system portfolio will enable True to operate 5G on low-band, mid-band and high-band frequencies in the North, Central-West, and Upper South regions of the country, they said.

The deployment includes, amongst other things, active antenna products to support beam-forming functions that reduce wireless signal interference and improve 5G speed.

Its rollout began in March.
