Aker: commissioning of a CO2 capture plant with SLB

(CercleFinance.com) - SLB reports that SLB Capturi, its joint venture with Aker Carbon Capture, has completed commissioning and delivered its modular carbon capture plant at the Twence waste-to-energy facility in Hengelo, the Netherlands.


The new plant has the capacity to capture up to 100.000 tonnes of CO2 per year, which will be used in applications for the horticultural and food & beverage sectors.

The plant is based on SLB Capturi's standard Just Catch modular design, which 'reduces on-site installation and equipment work, offering a more cost-effective and easier-to-deploy option compared to other alternatives on the market'.
