FCA: to make face masks for health care workers

(CercleFinance.com) - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) will make over 1 million protective face masks per month, which it plans to donate to police, first responders, firefighters and health care workers, the the Italo-American automaker said on Tuesday.


Production capacity is being installed this week and the company will start manufacturing the masks in the coming weeks, with initial distribution across the US, Canada and Mexico, it said.

FCA will work alongside authorities to ensure that the masks are dispatched to the people and facilities that need them the most immediately.

The auto giant said that it will disclose further actions relating to the fight against the coronavirus in the next few days.
