Fiat Chrysler: posts 16% jump in US October auto sales
(CercleFinance.com) - Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said its US sales rose 16% to 177,391 vehicles in October, particularly thanks to the strength of its Dodge and Ram brands.
The Dodge brand sales jumped 38% to 33,872 units last month, driven by Challenger sales, while the Ram brand saw sales rise 14% to 54,542 vehicles, a historic high for October.
The automaker said the Jeep, Chrysler, and Alfa Romeo brands also posted increases over the same period a year ago.
Alfa Romeo sales in particular rose 44%, boosted by the strength of the SUV Stelvio.
The New York-listed FCA shares were up 2.5% after these numbers.
