ASML: coronavirus outbreak to impact first-quarter results

(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch semiconductor equipment maker ASML said on Monday that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted its first-quarter results, due to delays in shipments to China and several issues in its supply chain.


The company said it currently expects first-quarter revenue of between 2.4 billion euros and 2.5 billion euros, with a gross margin between 45% and 46%.

ASML previously said it expected revenue of between 3.1 billion euros and 3.3 billion euros.

Due to uncertainties regarding the pandemic, ASML has also decided not to execute any share buybacks over the second quarter, it said.

This decision follows the pause in the execution of this program in the first quarter.

The share is currently up over 2% on Euronext Amsterdam.
