Euronext: deal to acquire Borsa Italiana

(CercleFinance.com) - Euronext announces a firm commitment with the London Stock Exchange Group for the acquisition of 100% of London Stock Exchange Group Holdings Italia SpA, holding company of Borsa Italiana Group, for a cash amount of 4,325 million euros.


“The Proposed Combination will create a leading European market infrastructure in the European Union,” underlines Euronext, which sees it playing a “central role to connect local economies to global markets”.

The pan-European group of stock exchanges expects this transaction to have an immediate positive effect on adjusted EPS (before synergies), and total pre-tax synergies at a rhythm of 60 million euros towards the third year.
