Airbus: returns to profit in H1
(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus today reported H1 sales of 24.
6 billion euros, up 30% y-o-y.
Business was driven by Airbus (+42% to 17.8 billion euros) and Airbus Helicopters (+11% to 2.6 billion euros), while Airbus Defence and Space was flat at 4.5 billion euros.
Adjusted EBIT came in at 2.7 billion euros, up sharply compared to H1 2020 (-945 million euros).
The European aircraft manufacturer finally recorded a net profit of 2.2 billion euros over the period, far from the loss of 1.9 billion euros made a year ago. As a result, EPS was 2.84 euros, compared to -2.45 euros twelve months ago.
For 2021, the company has updated its guidance and is targeting the delivery of 600 commercial aircraft and adjusted EBIT of 4 billion euros.
