Airbus: Flynas orders 10 A321XLR planes

(CercleFinance.com) - Flynas, Saudi Arabia's first low-cost airline, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus for the purchase of 10 A321XLR aircraft.

The airline will also change an order for the A321neo into 10 A320neo.
Flynas operates a fleet of 30 A320ceos and 2 A320neos. In 2018, the airline transported approximately 6.6 million passengers on 60,000 domestic and international flights.

The A321XLR will offer an unprecedented "Xtra Long" range of up to 4,700 nm from 2023, which is 15% more than the A321LR, with fuel consumption per seat that is 30% less compared to previous generation competitors.

This will allow operators to open new global routes, as well as extending its non-stop range on direct transatlantic flights between Continental Europe and the Americas.
