Philips: new echocardiography device

(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday, Philips unveiled a new echocardiography device that is supposed to enable doctors to achieve gains in productivity through a work process that is presented as being more efficient.


The Dutch health equipment specialist points out that the cardiovascular ultrasound system "Affiniti CVx" is equipped with its automatic AutoStrain measuring tool, based on artificial intelligence, which enables users to obtain safe and fast results.

However, Philips points out that the medical device - presented at the opening of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress - does not yet bear the CE mark and will not be marketed until such certification is obtained.
