Philips: wins ten-year Veterans Affairs deal
(CercleFinance.com) - Philips on Wednesday said that it has been selected by the US Department of Veterans Affairs to provide veterans remote access to intensive care.
The ten-year contract will see "VA" invest up to 100 million dollars in Philips' telehealth, tele-critical care (eICU), diagnostic imaging, sleep solutions and patient monitoring equipment, the Dutch company said.
VA is the largest integrated healthcare system in the US, with over 1,700 sites, which serve almost nine million veterans each year.
