Philips: named a top global innovator

(CercleFinance.com) - Dutch health technology company Philips said on Monday that it has been recognised - for the seventh year in a row - as a top global innovator by UK data provider Clarivate Analytics.


The group said it has been named on the "Derwent Top 100 Global Innovators" report, that identifies the world's most innovative organisations, i.e. those which develop patented inventions "with strong marketing potential."

Philips said its 1.9 billion-euro R&D program has resulted in the introduction of many successful innovations, including an MRI machine which enables helium-free operations while delivering sound image quality.
