KPN: acquires Youfone in Netherlands
(CercleFinance.com) - KPN announces the acquisition of Youfone's Dutch operations for about E200m, in a transaction that is subject to customary closing conditions, including approval from the competition authority.
"With this acquisition, KPN materially strengthens its position in the mobile and broadband markets, especially in the faster-growing no-frills segments," explains the Netherlands' incumbent telecoms operator. Rapidly growing Youfone joins other brands, such as XS4ALL, Solcon and Simyo in the KPN portfolio. The Youfone organisation will continue to operate independently within the group.
