Arcelormittal: Q2 2019 EBITDA in line with consensus

45 billion dollars for the second quarter of 2019, against a profit of 1.86 billion dollars a year ago, with EBITDA halved to 1.55 billion dollars, roughly in line with the consensus.

The steelmaker's turnover fell by 3.6% year-on-year, to nearly 19.3 billion dollars, for steel shipments of 22.8 million tonnes, up 4.8% relative to Q2 2018.

Considering changes in its consolidation scope, the group estimates that steel shipments will increase further compared to last year, which will contribute to the realisation of its Action 2020 strategic plan.
